The March sisters are all grown-up now. It is time they ventured into the twists and turns of life. Meg gets married, Jo comes to know that Laurie is in love with her, Beth is unwell, Amy goes to Europe with her aunt. It is different from childhood and they are mainly on their own. They will now experience the different aspects of family, love, loss, sacrifice, societal expectations and the pursuit of personal fulfilment.
Good Wives is the second part of Little Women whose popularity led Alcott to immediately write it. It received the similar love and success. Alcott further wrote Little Men and Jo s Boys in the March family saga. They are also as popular as Little Women.
